"This is a photo of the carpet. I picked this photo because the depth is infinity and the texture is cool."

"This is a photo of a hole in the door. I picked it because the focus and radiate."

"This is a photo of the table. I like it because of the pattern."

"This is a photo of a chair on a table facing the window. I think this one is good because of the natural light from the window."

"This is a photoshop picture of a lady smoking and a person dressed up. It's funny."

"The 5 pictures I chose represent what we have learned throughout the week. I decided to include a portrait, an abstract, two different light photos, and a photo that combines some of these things. I really liked the grass photo I took because it is very clear in the front, and gets blurry in the back. I also like it because I took it at a different angle. I loved playing with light, which is why I added two light pictures. The portrait I took of Cameron uses light too, and we used a clear plastic box to cover her. The picture with the rope leads your eye to the top of the building, and I loved that perspective! One of my favorites was the bottle picture. I loved the color and light!"

"I choose to take these photos because I like to take really random pictures. Wherever I went, I tried to take pictures of people that passed by me. Sometimes they didn't notice, and other times they did and smiled back (or stared). Then I decided to put a few of the pictures all into one random photo. I also took random pictures o Alexander in costumes that didn't make any sense. I also took a random picture of steps. I learned a lot about photoshop in this class, and I hope to use it more in the future to make my pictures even more random!"

"The reason I chose these pictures is because I like to have funny and weird pictures. These are random pictures, and I like to take random pictures, so these fit perfectly."

"This photo of a fire hydrant is interesting because it is on the far left side and the light on the street draws the eye to the background."

"This photo of a tree is interesting because the tree is very sharp in focus and the background is extremely fuzzy."

"This picture has warm colors and has depth, which means it has a foreground, middle ground, and background."

"I like these pictures because they are being created versus just taken. To me, that's what photography is about, and these were a few of my favorites."

Pictures by Isabel

"I like taking picture from unusual angles to give them a unique look. I use minimal photoshop as I can, to keep my pictures from seeming unrealistic."

"I took this picture because ot has a lot of plants and all of the colors fit well together, so I just thought it's cool to take a picture of."

"I really liked the angle of this and the steps were cool, so I just took this photo."

"I love this picture because it was dark in the theatre and there were only a couple lights. This picture has a message too...to me it has feelings about being nervous. The light bulb shows/represents a person on the stage, and that person is the center of attention."

"I like this photo because it shows a hidden door and I just think it's a cool angle too."

"I liked this photo because it just shows pretty plants and I just like the feel to it."

"The wall, I think, looks really cool and fun and colorful. Believe it or not, it has names on the green stones."

"The flower is originally blurry and the background was green, not black. It was (as I said) blurry and dull. So I had to change that to what it is now."

"The post is right outside of The Light Factory. I guess I have something for color because I also changed it too. I really like how the green and pink and blue mix together."

"The carpet was at Discovery Place and it had a lot of green and pinks, but I just didn't live how they went together so I changed it to blue, which is one of my favorite colors."

*Shaun had one other photo that was unable to upload.*

Welcome!

Wow! What a fun week! We have learned everything from basic color theory to shutter speed and aperture to photoshop. It's been a blast walking around the city, capturing images. We are seeing the Charlotte in a whole new light. The city is no long just buildings, it is a place where we can create art. Here are our final photos! Enjoy!
